The campsite
La Gallouette *** campsite is a family run establishment with 183 sites; the terrain, which is flat, grassy and shaded, is on the coast in the cul de loup cove, near to the famous Hougue tower. It holds the national charter of quality for outdoor accommodation.
The swimming pool
The heated swimming pool is open from May 15th to Sept 15th with a paddling pool for children and a large pool with a depth of 1.0 to 1.5 metres.
Activities and entertainment
La Gallouette has a play area for children; a bouncy castle; a sports ground; a field for games; an entertainment room with an activity leader which is open every morning in the high season and a pétanque (bowling) ground.
The port - The beach
The port of St Vaast is only 300 m from the campsite. With its mixture of fishing boats and pleasure craft, it is one of the most scenic ports in the department. The bustling activity of the fishing boats makes it a favourite place for walkers - and piques the curiosity of onlookers.
